Christmas Eve & Christmas Morning

Damon had to work Christmas Eve Evening, so we jam packed all our festivities into the morning. Opening our Jammies, & watching Polar Express with treats.  The kids love it when we pull off our bedroom mattress to lay down and watch a movie as a family.

After the movie Damon went to work and we worked on some yummy hot chocolate and cookies for Santa. (Spoiler, we totally just used some cookies a friend gave us as our Santa cookies this year, ops.  I just wasn't feeling another baking adventure)

We read scripture about Christ's birth and life by candle light.  Finn was ever curious and the girls were so stressed he'd get burned. Lots of frantic screaming of 'owie finn owie!' anytime he came close.  I kind of wanted him to get licked by the fire a little bit, so he'd learn for himself it was hot, and leave it alone. But the girls caution was enough to keep him at bay, yet flirting with fire the whole month.

Christmas morning

We had a great Christmas morning. The kids were so happy and good mannered about everything they got.  They were happy for each other for what the other kiddo got as well. Which was something I was expecting to be a possible problem. We cleaned up Christmas and went over to Damon's parent's house.

But the biggest kicker this year was our Trip to Disneyland from Santa.  We plan on cashing in, in April. For Stella's 3rd Birthday. We've been watching a Disney movie once a week, then looking up the rides on Youtube to help get excited!
