Finn's first haircut

I swore I would NEVER buzz my boy's hairs, when I was little.  It always looked tacky to me. The easy way out. But lets be real, probably everything I swore I would never do as a parent has either happened or been considered.  Nothing like a healthy dose of parenthood to turn all your small expectations on their heads. Fast Forward to my one and only boy's first haircut being a complete buzz.  'Past me' is so disappointed! (and lets me real, a little bit of current me too)

I didn't want to pay for a trim & didn't feel confident in cutting his hair myself.  Bonus, he was developing a sweet mullet in the back while his top hairs grew as a snails pace.  Whatever, right?  We'll just buzz it, it'll grow back more evenly & then we'll start shelling out more monies for those fancy boy hair trims.

Jokes on me.  His front hairs are still growing slowly, while his back hairs are already a great fluffy forest.  Gah!  The Buzz was for not!

Finn LOVED the haircut though. He though the buzzer was hilarious & felt pretty cool being swarmed by his hopeful vultures (er... I mean sisters). The girls could not help but flock in hopes for a teeny lick of baby slobber & hair covered blueberry lollipop. The very best & rarest of varieties.

Finn was very generous with his lollipop treasure.

Finn is Damon's twiner winner chicken dinner now, and It's pretty hilarious. Full disclosure, I make Finn wear hats when we go in public.  Because its so cold! (full full disclosure, its because he looks weird)

Obviously we love him & he's darling.  He's just...bald. Which is fine. I married bald.  I love bald. Just not Finn bald.

He's also our most blond kid.  So even though he's got a good 4-5mm on there he looks completely bald unless you're close enough to kiss him on his forehead.

We love ya Finn!  Such a big boy.  Happy first & only buzz haircut.
