A Christmas Story

All Christmas stories are magical and exciting, ours definitely was! But some Christmas stories are best told weeks after the event.  However, that is not the case here. I just didn't get to it til now.   And with that, lets just jump on in!

Indie did a great job with the tree. She liked to look at it, and even kissed it a lot when we first put it up.  She left all the ornaments and gifts alone no problem. We watched a Muppet Christmas carol while we set up our ghetto tree.  Indie was enthralled with all the singing and dancing.

Something magical about Christmas time is the cold weather.  There's something so fun about a chill in the air and snuggling under a blanket. Also, a fire. So great! I adore winter and fall clothes.  Especially of the miniature kind.  Let me be clear though. The magic of cold weather ends the second Christmas over. Then its just horrible.  Here are a few of Indie's little winter outfits.

We were on our way to the Dickin's Festival. Tiny girl loves her blankie.

Indie's Christmas dress. We had a White Christmas morning! but no worries, This was just a quick picture snap and then she was back inside before she turned Popsicle.

This was taken seconds before she hit an ice patch slid, fell slow motion on to her hands and knees.  Then her little hands slowly slid out from under her so she was face first in the snow with her bum in the air.  It was so very funny!  Poor marshmallow baby.

Gingerbread (graham cracker)  houses (shacks)

Indie chowed down on her candy decoration and genuinely tried to stick it onto the sides of the roof. Damon was extremely focused on making his house.

Indie helped clean up the dishes afterward. This is one of her favorite play time activities.

She enlisted her Little People and Naked Baby to help out too.

Grandpa David came to visit and after some great Tucanos food, we went to Blinkenstaffs in the River bottoms and sent a letter to Ol' Saint Nick.

Indie fell in love with this little Cowgirl hat.

We all took turns running after this mad woman in the toy store.

Christmas Eve

Waiting to meet Santa!

 Indie loved him!

We went home and to watch Elf and eat popcorn, but mostly we just ended up watching Indie stuff as much popcorn as she could into her mouth. Then she opened her Christmas eve gift and read bedtime stories to dad.

Christmas Day!

Can we just stop and ponder why her hair ALWAYS look this way when she wakes up?

Indie hated opening her gift. She got overwhelmed. Ops, We've been slowly reintroducing things on rainy days for her.  Her favorite toy hands down was her baby doll stroller.

Christmas brunch with Lauren, Felipe, Ian and......

 Phillip!

Indie was reunited to her favorite hat, thanks to Aunt Lauren and Uncle Felipe!

After some eating and visiting we braved the storm (some were a little more dismayed than others) to go to Great Grandma and Grandpa.

It was a very Merry Christmas!!

 The end!
