Pie Dough

If there is one thing Stella loves it's play.  She loves to play quietly with her princess, barbies, and especially her play-doh. 

She also loves to be praised.  She will assert herself whenever she can, and literally shakes with happiness when you acknowledge her efforts. Helping me make some pie crust combines her two very favorite things, and she was such a joy to have by my side. 

Finn is always hyper aware of what the girls are doing, and ready to protect the injustice of being left out.  So Stella and my special alone time lasted 2 seconds. 

After we finished the pie I let the kids play with the scraps.  I had no idea how long that play would last.  Finn was enthralled. 

It was a horrible time when after over an hour we had to go and I had to help Finn mourn the loss of his precious pie dough. What a fun fun memory.
