Cabin Trip
We went up to the cabin for the week. Damon came and joined for the weekend. (The bum. Something about having to be able to work and provide for our family. I don't know...)
We had lots of great lazy mornings full of toys, fairy visits, critters and dirt.
The girls partook in a lot of sink baths. Indie is getting a bit big for this practice, but she loves playing toys and passing the time in the water.
Stellie LOVES the water. Little Stink.
Isla & Indie were showing off their good swim skills to everyone, receiving lots of applause. Stella, not to be outdone, watched the big kids and decided that was the thing to do. She stomped up to the water's edge and repeatedly dunked her own face. Silly head. She was so proud of herself.
Indie had her first experience going poops in the lake while boating. She was so big swimming far away from everyone. Too funny.
The best part of helping Mom cook!
Conquering small mountains.
Morning chores with Papa Joe.
Ring around the Rosie
Stella found this patch of sun and started playing ring around the rosie. This game is dangerous. Once Stella starts she can't stop. It always ends in major fits.
We cut her off.
She rolled around kicking, crying, screaming. Poor baby.
Indie held a dance party in the living room. She didn't have a great attendance, not for a lack of enthusiasm though.
We picked lots of allergy inducing flowers on the way down to the creek.
Stellie and her pizza helped scout out all the best flowers.
Indie repeatedly stuck her flowers under the creek water, making sure they were properly drinking.
Stellie was a little devastated I wouldn't let her lay down in the freezing creek, to be carried off to her death by the current. I did let her get her feet in, and sit in it. Not good enough. We ended up having to leave the water's edge earlier than expected because we couldn't reconcile our differences on the matter. (So much sadness.)
Pizza in it's natural habitat.
Indie picked three separate bouquets. One for Michelle, one for Gma Sooz, and one for herself. All three had to be 'relocated' back outside once we got back to the cabin. We told her it was because they needed the sun...really it was because it was making everyone sneeze and swell up.
She really wanted a perfect picture of her with these pillows. It took 20 takes to satisfy her creative vision.
Log jumping! We caught a couple of tadpoles at the lake and brought them home. So fun!
T'was a great trip!
