Earth Day

We celebrated Earth Day today!  (Really we were just bored and needed an activity. Not to discount the importance of Earth and all its bounties 'n' blessings.) 

We went to Walmart to get some flower planting supplies.  It was my first trip to the store alone with both girls.  Estelle slept the whole time and Indie was just so tickled to be 'planting a garden' that she was an angel. She wanted all the flowers to be purple.  Her favorite. 

Painting the pots. Indie was extremely thoughtful and concentrated on her artwork. 

We let everything dry then added a little dirt...Some of it even made it into the pot.

Made some holes for the seeds and planted said seeds (way too many and in closer proximity than what was recommended)...

Watered!

Hopefully we get a few sprouts!  Indie is sure excited about her 'garden.'  Happy Earth Day!
